We are shipping MCP — the Model Context Protocol — as a core capability of the Unplex agentic platform today.
Build agents around your tools, not ours
On Unplex, you build agents by defining two things: what the agent knows, and what tools it has access to. Until now, the tool set was defined by the integrations we had built.
MCP changes that. Any tool your firm already uses that supports MCP can now be added to any agent on Unplex. Your document management system. Your billing platform. Your practice management software. Your CRM. Your signature provider.
You add the connection in your agent configuration. The agent gains the capability immediately. No integration project. No waiting for us.
What changes for your agents
Before MCP, your agents reasoned from what the LLM knew: a black box with a training cutoff and no source to verify. With MCP, your agents query live, authoritative systems and return results traceable to their origin.
The difference is not speed. It is reliability. An agent connected to your billing system via MCP returns your actual figures. An agent connected to a legal database via MCP returns what the law says today, with a URL you can click and verify.
You define the output. The agent finds the path. Every result is grounded in real data.
Legal research: two MCP connections, free, available today
The first MCP tools available on Unplex are two freely available connections for Swiss legal research. Add them to any agent in minutes.
Swiss Federal Laws MCP
https://switzerland-law-mcp.vercel.app/mcp
Connected directly to Fedlex, Switzerland's official statute database. Your agents can validate any citation against the live database before a document leaves your firm, retrieve the full current text of any provision with a direct source link, and search across all Swiss federal law in German, French, Italian, and English.
Swiss Open Law MCP
https://mcp.opencaselaw.ch
Connected to opencaselaw.ch, covering 990,000 Swiss court decisions across 90 courts with a full citation graph. Your agents can find the most-cited authority on any provision ranked by how many subsequent courts have relied on it, trace full appeal chains, access peer-reviewed commentary from OnlineKommentar.ch, and monitor legislative amendments in real time.
Both are live. Both are free. Both are available in any Unplex agent today.
What a legal research agent delivers
We ran a citation verification agent on a recent court filing. The agent read the document, verified every citation against Fedlex and the case law database in parallel, and returned a report with a clickable source link for every confirmed citation.
It caught a BGE reference pointing to the wrong published decision and proposed the correct one. It flagged a docket not found in the database. And it surfaced the most-cited Bundesgericht authority on the central provision of the filing, with 13 subsequent citations, that was not in the document at all.
What used to take hours of manual checking runs in minutes. Every finding traceable. Every source one click away.
How to get started
Open your agent configuration on Unplex. Navigate to the tool set panel. Select Add MCP connection and enter the server URL. The agent inventories the available tools and makes them available immediately.
For your own firm's tools — DMS, billing, practice management — check with your vendor for their MCP endpoint. The connection process is identical.
